Overview

This online training course is the second of five courses educating emergency responders on how to deal with situations where hazardous materials are involved. This course is designed to teach responders to meet competencies for Hazmat responders at the operations level. This video focuses on recognizing the different containers and containment systems used to hold or transport hazardous materials.

There are various types of bulk and non-bulk packaging used to store hazardous materials. This course explains how these containers and containment systems are constructed and used, review safety features of the different containers, explain about the different types of product found in each type of container, and educates about the hazard classes of those products.

By learning about the different types and uses of hazardous material containers, emergency responders will be able to make better decisions when responding to a hazardous situation. Use this course to prepare your workers to identify materials during a Hazmat incident.
